Service
Bleach and lift
Lightener takes dark or colored hair up to the pale base that bright shades need. We lift in stages, check the hair as we go and tell you if the plan is better split across two visits.
Results vary with your starting hair and your history, and we say so before we begin.

What happens
A lift, in four parts
Most lifts run two to four hours.
- 0130 min
Step 1: Plan and strand test
We test a hidden strand, look at your history and choose how many rounds it takes.
- 0245–90 min
Step 2: Apply lightener
Section by section, with the roots last because they lift fastest.
- 0330–60 min
Step 3: Check and rinse
We check the lift as it goes and rinse when the hair reaches the shade the plan needs.
- 0445 min
Step 4: Tone and gloss
A toner sets the shade and a gloss finishes it, ready for color or for wearing pale.
Good to know
Before you book
What sets the price
The length and density of your hair, how dark it is now, how many rounds it takes and the hours on the chair. Your colorist quotes it first.
How pricing worksBefore you come in
Tell us about every product that has been on your hair, and book a patch test at least 48 hours ahead.
Who does it
Nevaeh and Brooklyn lift most dark hair. Sam takes root lifts and panels.

Questions about this service
Can my hair take bleach?
We look at its history, its condition and a strand before we begin, and we tell you if the plan should wait or split. Lightening is a chemical process, so we go at the pace your hair allows.
How many visits to go pale?
Dark hair going to pastel often takes two sessions, a few weeks apart. Your consultation ends with the plan in writing.
Can you lift color I did at home?
Often, but box color and henna can lift unevenly. Tell us everything, and we test a strand first.
Book a lift
Start with a consultation, so the plan is written before the lightener comes out.
