How pricing works
Your price depends on your hair and your plan, so it's worked out with you before the color goes on. These are the questions people ask first.
What decides the price
Vivid color is priced by the time it takes and what goes into it. Your colorist works it out at your consultation, in writing, before any lightener or color goes on.
The length and density of your hair
How much lightening it needs first
The number of shades, and where they go
The hours on the chair
The colorist's level
The products used
What the consultation covers
The consultation is a booking of its own, about 30 to 45 minutes. We look at your hair, your color history and your photos, test a strand and write the plan: shades, hours and how many sessions. It's credited toward your color when you book within 30 days.
How levels set the price
A colorist, a senior colorist and the owner each have their own rate, and the booking page shows the level beside every name before you choose. Any of us can plan your color; the level sets how the price is worked out, not how much care you get.
Add-ons and changes on the day
A toner or gloss, a cut and shape, extra panels or a second shade added on the day are each quoted and agreed with you before they're started, so the total never changes behind your back.
Deposits
Sessions of three hours or more take a deposit when you book. It holds your colorist's day and goes toward your service. The amount shows on the booking page.
Gift cards and packages
Gift cards come in any amount and work for any service. Buy one online and it arrives by email.
